The works restructure a metaphysical syntax raising questions on the politics of the image. The paintings extract the objects from their usual context, disrupt the representation of reality, sever image from meaning and propose a different type of gaze – a symbolic view of the image. At first glance, the images seem banal - a lamp, chair, figures, slices of reality, but in practice, each painting depicts a worldview, an internal mechanism of the idea itself and not what is externally visible. The objects are unraveled at the edges, the images take on an aura of saints and the room is painted in blinding yellow. The objects borrowed from real life act as catalysts to make present mental states, illuminate prosaic moments and transform them into the spiritual and sublime. To a great extent, this is a fantasy denying itself.

אני מציגה ציורים גדולי ממדים בהם מתוארים חפצי יומיום שהוגדלו לכדי העצמה אירונית-ביקורתית. החפצים ספק בייתים ספק משרדיים, נראים כמעט כמו מבנים אדריכליים או פסלי ענק. העבודות יוצרות תחביר ומרחב ציורי ותלת מימדי, בו מוזמן העבודות מבנות תחביר מטא-פיזי אשר מעלה שאלות לגבי הפוליטיקה של הדימוי. הציור מחלץ את הדברים מהקשרם האמתי, משבש את הייצוג של המציאות, מפקיע את הדימוי ממשמעותו ומציע מבט אחר, סימבולי על דימוי אשר במבט ראשון נראה בנאלי: הציור מתאר תפיסת עולם, מנגנון פנימי של הרעיון עצמו, לא של זה הנראה לעין; החפצים נפרמים בקצותיהם, הדמויות מקבלות הילה של קדושים, החדר נצבע בצהוב הצופה להסתובב. מנורה, כיסא, דמויות, מקטעי מציאות. מסנוור. במידה רבה זוהי פנטזיה המכחישה את עצמה.
