Orlev is a painter and video-performance artist whose concern with movement is given expression in actions on paper and video work; large scale black-and-white action paintings and series that combine body imprints. In her video works she relates to different areas of the body as sites that give rise to actions charged with autobiographical, cultural and critical significance using body painting.

דניאלה אורלב היא ציירת ואמנית ווידאו פרפורמנס. עוסקת בתנועה מסוגים שונים הבאה לידי ביטוי בעבודות הציור והווידאו ; הציור מערב את פעולת הגוף והוא מונוכרומטי ומינימליסטי ובשנים האחרונות התפתח למפגש בין גוף, ציור ווידאו. בעבודות הווידאו פעולת הציור מתייחסת לאזורים שונים בגוף כאתרים המעוררים פעולות משמעותיות שונות, בעלות מטען אוטוביוגרפי, תרבותי וביקורתי.
