Martha Rieger
Martha Rieger is a Brazilian born, Tel Aviv based sculptor and a ceramic artist. Rieger's work creates a personal world with a unique and individual language, that bridges between her long-time practice as a functional ceramist and her recent years as an installation artist, exhibiting in art galleries and museums worldwide.
The sculptures and installations Rieger creates, both in traditional handcraft techniques she has studied over the years of working with local artisans in Jingdezhen, the Chinese center for porcelain and her personal, contemporary visual art language and style.

מרתה ריגר
עוסקת במיצב ובפיסול קרמי.
עלתה לישראל מברזיל ב-1983.
חיה ועובדת בישראל ובסין.
לימודים:
לימודי אמנות, UFRJ, האוניברסיטה הפדרלית של ריו דה ז'נרו.
מיצביה של ריגר רותמים מלאכות יד מסורתיות, אותן היא לומדת בנסיעותיה לג'ינגנז'ן בסין, שם היא עובדת לצד בעלי מלאכה מקומיים. מוטיבים חוזרים בעבודותיה הן הביצה, והבועה. על האובייקטים שריגר יוצרת היא מטביעה את חותמה הסגנוני באמצעות ציור ידני, תוך שימוש בטקסטורות, סמלים, דוגמאות ותנועות מכחול.
