Oranit Shirazi
My practice includes ready-made sculpture, collages, painting, and writing. My works deal with a search that is both personal and collective, towards a way of inhabiting the present moment.
The recurring themes in my works are familiar and universal. Through a re-combination of everyday objects and materials, I aim to create new content that transforms the everyday into the surprising and novel.
My works are made from materials that I collect and categorize. I hope to touch on the nuances of our lives and create a narrative that asks existential questions.

חזרה על מוטיבים וצורות פשוטות ומוכרות שע״י חיבור חדש בטכניקות שונות יוצרים רעיון אחר/מוכר, חדש מחיי היומיום. היצירות בנויות מחומרים מגוונים הנקרים בדרכי כ׳משוטטת׳ אותם אי אוספת ממיינת ומחברת.
ביצירותיי אני מנסה לגעת בניואנסים הקטנים של החיים ליצור נרטיב העוסק לרוב בשאלות קיומיות.
