אמי ספרד וניר מצליח

״ביחד אנחנו מדמיינים בית  ומקימים אותו בגלריה״

 

תערוכתם של אמי ספרד וניר מצליח ב״מקום לאמנות״ בקריית המלאכה הינה עבודת מיצב משותפת המדמה בית. על-ידי הצבת קירות, חלונות ודלת האומנים מחלקים את החלל ומציעים למבקר להלך ביניהם ולהתבונן דרכם והחוצה.

 

המיצב מתייצג כחלל בעל היגיון אחדותי ועם זאת לכל אחד מהאמנים שפה אישית מובהקת. אמי משלבת את עולם הרישום והציור עם עולם וירטואלי תלת -ממדי המבוסס על פלטפורמות של משחקי מחשב. ניר בונה עולם ציורי וחומריו הם נייר אורז סיני, גרפיט, פחם, דיו, צבעי מים ודבקים. נייר האורז הוא דקיק ופגיע, אך צורת העבודה של ניר הופכת אותו לחומר קשיח עם שקיפות ועומק. העבודה מקבלת את חיוניותה החומרית ואת משמעותה הסיפורית ברגע ההצבה בחלל.

 

מסכי הנייר, הקירות, הווילונות, החלונות, התריסים והדמויות של ניר משתלבים עם עבודות הניו-מדיה השקטות של אמי וביחד, הם יוצרים מבנה ביתי שברירי ומחוסר יסודות. בתוך העולמות הוירטואלים שיוצרת אמי, ציוריו של ניר מגיחים מעת לעת כמו בהשתקפות.

 

העבודה המשותפת מבוססת על חיפוש  וגילוי נקודות איזון, על שיתוף בחומרים ובמקורות השראה, על חשיבה משותפת ולעיתים גם על השאלה של דימוי או אובייקט מעבודתו של אמי לזו של ניר או להיפך. האמנים ביצעו את העבודה בחלקה ביחד ובחלקה באינטימיות הסטודיו הפרטי שלהם.

 

״במהלך השנים הפרספקטיבה שלנו כיוצרים משתנה. היא משפיעה על האופן בו אנחנו חווים ומפרשים את החיים סביבנו. היום שנינו מוצאים עצמנו במקום דומה, רואים את העולם דרך פריזמה של בעלי בית ומשפחה. נקודת מבט זו מייצרת הזדהות ומדגישה את הקשיים במציאות המקומית ואת ההשפעות החברתיות, התרבותיות והמוסריות של מציאות זו עלינו.״

"نتخيّل بيتًا سويّةً ونُنشئه في الجاليري"

 

معرض إيمي سفاراد ونير متسلياح في "مكان للفنّ" في كريات هملآخاه هو عمل إنشائيّة مشتركة بهيئة بيت. من خلال نصب جدران، نوافذ وباب، يقسّم الفنانان الحيّز ويعرضان على الزائر السير بينها والتأمُّل من خلالها وإلى الخارج.

 

تتراءى الإنشائيّة كحيّز ذي منطق وحدويّ، ومع ذلك لكلّ واحد من الفنّانين لغة شخصية بارزة. تجمع إيمي بين عالم الرسم والعالم الافتراضيّ الثلاثيّ الأبعاد القائم على صيغة ألعاب الحاسوب. يبني نير عالمًا مرسومًا وموادّه هي ورق الأرز الصينيّ، جرافيت، فحم، حبر، ألوان مائية وغراء. ورق الأرزّ رقيق وهشّ، لكن طريقة عمل نير تحوّله إلى مادة قاسية مع شفافية وعمق. يحظى العمل بحيويّته الماديّة وبمعناه القصصيّ لحظة نصبه في الحيّز.

 

الشاشات الورقيّة، الجدران، الستائر، ظرفات النوافذ وشخصيات نير تتداخل مع أعمال النيو-ميديا الهادئة لدى إيمي، وهي تنتج سويةً مبنى بيتيًّا هشًّا وعديم الأسس. في داخل العوالم الافتراضيّة التي تنتجها إيمي، تبرز رسوم نير من حين إلى آخر كما لو أنها بهيئة انعكاس.

 

يرتكز العمل المشترك على البحث وكشف نقاط توازن، على التشارك في المواد وفي مصادر الإلهام، على التفكير المشترك وأحيانًا أيضًا على سؤال التمثيل أو الغرض من عمل إيمي في إزاء عمل نير أو بالعكس. نفّذ الفنانان جزءًا من العمل سويةً وجزءًا آخر في حميميّة الأستوديو الخاصّ بهما.

 

"على مرّ السنين، يتغيّر منظورنا كمبدعين. إنّه يتأثّر بالطريقة التي نجرّب فيها الحياة من حولنا ونفسّرها. اليوم، كلانا نجد نفسينا في مكان مشابه، نرى العالم عبر منظور أصحاب البيت والأسرة. وجهة النظر هذه تخلق تماهيًا وتبرز الصعوبات القائمة في الواقع المحلّيّ والتأثيرات الاجتماعيّة، الثقافيّة والأخلاقيّة لهذا الواقع علينا".

Exhibition by Emi Sfard and Nir Mazliah

“Together, we imagine a home and create it in the gallery.”

 

The exhibit titled Decline, the joint creation of Emi Sfard and Nir Mazliah, likens a home. By erecting walls and installing windows and doors the artists partition the space, while also inviting the visitor to wander between all these and glancing through the partitions at the outside world.

 

The exhibit presents itself as a single whole, in which the two artists’ contributions are unified by common motives and logic. Still, each of the contributors speaks a distinctive personal language. Emi combines the world of drawing with the 3D virtual world built on a computer games platform. Nir builds a pictorial world using materials such as Chinese rice paper, graphite, carbon, ink, watercolors and glues. The rice paper is thin and fragile, but Nir’s unique style makes it stiff, while also rendering it transparency and depth. Once the work finds its place in space, it comes to life, attains material vitality and acquires narrative meaning.

 

The paper screens, walls, curtains, windows, shades and figures combine with Emi’s quiet new-media work. All these taken together make up a fragile homely structure with no foundations. Within Emi’s virtual worlds, Nir’s drawing emerge from time to time as a reflection.

 

The joint work is based on the search after a balance point, in sharing materials and sources of inspiration, in thinking together and sometimes also on incorporating an image or object from the work  of one artist into that of the other. In preparing the exhibition, the partners worked either together, in creative collaboration, or separately, in the quiet of their private studios.

 

“Over time, our perspective as artists has been changing, It impacts the way we live and how we interpret life around us. Today, we find ourselves in more or less the same place: both of us see the world through the prism of those who have a home and a family. This vantage point helps in our identifying and emphasizing with the challenges inherent in the local reality and its social, cultural and moral implications for us and our lives.”
